Custom Compression Springs Manufacturer in Taiwan

Cylindrical, conical, barrel and hourglass compression springs, coiled and ground to your drawing. Send a spec, a sample, or a rough load requirement — an engineer reviews it before we quote.

What we manufacture

Cylindrical, conical, barrel and hourglass compression springs, in closed-and-ground, closed-unground, and open (plain) end styles. Coiled on CNC spring-forming machines and ground to length where the application calls for a flat, square bearing surface.

Specifications to send us

The more of these you can provide, the faster we can quote:

SpecWhat to tell us
Wire diametermm or inch
Outside / inside diameterwhichever is the controlling constraint in your assembly
Free lengthuncompressed length
Solid heightif it matters for your application
Active coilsor total coils if you don't know the exact active count
End typeclosed & ground / closed unground / open
Load at a specified lengththis defines the spring rate — the single most important functional spec
Materialsee options below
Tolerancewhich dimensions are functional; we hold DIN 2095/2096 or JIS B 2704 as standard
Surface treatmentplating, passivation, coating, or none
Annual quantityprototype, trial batch, or production volume

Don't have a formal drawing? Send a physical sample or a sketch with whatever load or space constraint you know, and our engineers will help formalize the spec before quoting.

Materials

Music wire (ASTM A228), hard-drawn wire, oil-tempered wire, stainless steel 302/304/316/17-7PH, chrome silicon, chrome vanadium, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper, and Inconel X-750. Special alloys are solvable in most cases — ask if yours isn't listed.

Manufacturing & inspection

Formosa Spring coordinates production rather than running every machine ourselves — each order goes to the factory in our network best equipped for that wire diameter, tolerance, and volume, and we manage engineering communication, quality, and logistics as your single point of contact. Dimensional inspection, load testing at the spec'd length, and material traceability are standard; salt-spray testing and PPAP-style documentation are available on request. See our Quality & Material Traceability page for the full detail.

How ordering works

  1. Send your drawing (PDF/STEP/DXF), a sample, or your load and space requirements through our RFQ form.
  2. Our engineers review manufacturability and confirm the spec with you.
  3. We quote with clear pricing, tooling (if any), and lead time.
  4. Samples in about 4–6 weeks; production in 60–90 days.
  5. Inspection report, neutral packaging, and worldwide shipping (EXW/FOB/CIF/DDP).

Frequently Asked Questions

What tolerance can you hold on compression springs?

Standard commercial tolerances follow DIN 2095/2096 or JIS B 2704; tighter tolerances are quoted case by case. Tell us which dimensions are functional — usually free length and load at length — and we control those first.

Can you reverse-engineer a compression spring from a physical sample?

Yes. Mail us the sample; we measure wire diameter, outside diameter, free length, coil count, and spring rate, then send a formal drawing for your approval before production.

Do you supply material certificates?

Yes — mill certificates and certificates of origin are available with every production lot.

What's the minimum order quantity?

None. Pricing reflects actual material and processing cost, so prototype and small trial orders are accepted alongside production volumes.

Ready to move your supply chain to Taiwan?

Send us a drawing or a rough spec. You will hear back from an engineer — in English — usually within 2–3 business days with an initial response.
